Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of InkPane. InkPane is operated by Nikhil Siddharth Raghava, trading as InkPane ("InkPane", "we", "us"). You can contact us at support@inkpane.ink.

By creating an account or using InkPane, you agree to these Terms.

Using InkPane

You may use InkPane only lawfully and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for your account, the devices you connect, the integrations you enable, and the content you choose to display.

InkPane may be used with compatible third-party e-readers or other devices, some of which may require user-installed software or modifications. You are responsible for deciding whether those changes are appropriate for your device and for understanding any effect they may have on manufacturer warranties, support, security, or device operation.

Your content and connected services

You retain ownership of content you provide to InkPane. You give us a limited licence to host, process, transform, transmit and display that content only as needed to operate and improve the features you use.

If you connect a third-party service such as Google Calendar, your use of that service remains subject to the third party's own terms and policies. You can revoke connected-service permissions through the relevant provider.

Availability and changes

InkPane is an evolving service. We may add, change, limit or remove features, integrations, supported devices, or third-party data sources. We aim to operate InkPane reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or permanently available service.

Free and paid features

InkPane may offer free and paid features. Any applicable price, billing period, included functionality, taxes, renewal terms, cancellation terms and payment-provider terms will be shown before you purchase.

If payments are processed by a third-party merchant of record or payment provider, that provider may also have terms that apply to your purchase. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under applicable law.

Acceptable use

You must not use InkPane to:

• break the law or infringe another person's rights;
• gain or attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data;
• introduce malware or deliberately interfere with the service;
• abuse third-party integrations or use them outside their permitted purposes; or
• place unreasonable automated load on InkPane or circumvent technical restrictions.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect InkPane, our users, third parties, or comply with law.

Intellectual property

InkPane's software, product design, branding, documentation and other materials supplied by us remain our intellectual property or that of our licensors. These Terms give you permission to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of InkPane or its intellectual property to you.

Third-party information

InkPane may display information from third-party services, including weather, news, calendar and financial-market data. That information may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate and should not be relied upon where an error could cause serious financial, safety, medical, legal or other harm.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer protections.

Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, unsupported device modifications, failures of third-party services, or indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you began using InkPane.

Ending your use

You may stop using InkPane at any time. We may suspend or discontinue the service or an account where reasonably necessary, including for security, abuse, legal requirements, or material breach of these Terms. Where practical, we will give reasonable notice of material service discontinuation.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as InkPane develops. We will update the date on this page and, where a change materially affects your rights, take reasonable steps to notify affected users.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections or rights that apply where you live. If you are a consumer, nothing in this clause prevents you from relying on any jurisdiction rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
