InkPane is operated by Nikhil Siddharth Raghava, trading as InkPane ("InkPane", "we", "us"). For data-protection purposes, we are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at support@inkpane.ink.
What we collect
We may process your email address, account and authentication information, connected-device information, Pane and display settings, content you upload or enter, integration settings, and technical information such as logs, IP address, browser or device information, and security events needed to operate and protect InkPane.
If you sign in with Google, we receive the basic account information needed to authenticate you, such as your email address and profile information. If you separately choose to connect Google Calendar, we access only the calendar information needed to provide the calendar features you enable.
How we use information
We use personal information to provide and personalise InkPane, authenticate users, connect and refresh displays, operate integrations you request, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot problems, maintain security, communicate service-related information, and improve the reliability and usability of the product.
Where UK data-protection law applies, our legal bases may include performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing InkPane, your consent where we ask for it, and compliance with legal obligations.
We may send a small number of service messages to help you set up and use InkPane. Product news is optional and off by default. You can change both choices in your account or use the unsubscribe link in an email.
Google user data
InkPane's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
We use Google user data only to provide features you explicitly request, such as Google sign-in or displaying calendar information. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use private Google user data to train general-purpose AI models.
You can disconnect Google integrations within InkPane where that option is available, or revoke InkPane's access from your Google Account permissions.
Service providers and third-party data
We use service providers to run InkPane, including providers for hosting, databases and authentication, email delivery, customer support, analytics, payments, and external information sources. These include Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and sign-in), Zoho Mail and ZeptoMail (account email), Resend (setup and product email), Dodo Payments (payments and billing), Telegram (to deliver problem reports you send us, including your account email and message), and OpenAI through the Vercel AI Gateway (to create Panes when you use AI Pane creation, which sends what you type), as well as Google services when you choose to connect them.
Panes may also use third-party sources for information such as weather, news, calendar, or financial-market data. Those providers may process requests needed to deliver the feature. We do not sell your personal information.
International transfers
Some of our service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we rely on recognised safeguards or other lawful transfer mechanisms designed to protect personal information when it is transferred internationally.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide InkPane, maintain your account, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Information that is no longer required may be deleted or anonymised.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to processing of, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise a privacy right, contact support@inkpane.ink. If UK data-protection law applies, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as InkPane develops. We will update the date on this page when we make changes and, where appropriate, provide additional notice of material changes.
